If you’ve followed the news, you know the earth is on fire again this summer. California is burning from top to bottom –which is where PB resides when not on imaginary vacation.
Thursday night, Pink Buddha’s brother from the same mother and sister in law were evacuated with their cat from their home in Redding, CA. They made it to Sacramento where PB’s sister in law’s parents live, only to find out the following morning that they had lost their home. Everything was gone, except what they took when they evacuated.
Pink Buddha set up a Gofundme page to help with the essentials. It’s the starting point on a long road to rebuilding. The campaign doesn’t ask a lot, PB knows there are many others in similar circumstances. The objective is just a few bucks to get things like underwear, socks, plates, cups, hair brushes, cat food, toothpaste, shampoo, the essentials, so brother Mark and his wife Kris can start to build up from the devastation.
